ATLAS CARGO EXPRESS BEGINS OPERATION TODAY
Atlas Cargo Express Limited, a company incorporated as a logistics business begins operation today, Monday 24 January 2022.

I remember the thoughts of having a logistics business some few years back. It was more like an infatuation with the whole idea of logistics. More so, it seemed like a straightforward business once you are able to get the structure and systems right. The research phase was, I will say 50/50 of optimism from what I found and pessimism as well.
However, in 2021 I decided to start this journey, taking the risk and seeing how far we can go. With a vision to be one of the leading logistics businesses in Nigeria and Africa, we are committed to building a real organization not just a private business that revolves around one individual like the founder.
One major finding of my research was that there are many logistics and delivery companies in major Nigerian cities (Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and a few others) and most are okay running a few vehicles (bikes) so long as it brings in the money to stay afloat and for the founder(s) to pay bills. That is okay and nothing wrong with that. More so, the logistics industry has big players that have really gone big and known worldwide; DHL, FedEx, UPS and in Nigeria we have pioneers like ABC, GIG, JUMIA and others.
We Atlas Cargo Express also want to play big; we want to own more fleets of vehicles, we want to expand to more states, we want to go to other countries and create value for our customers, employees and the entire value chain of the logistics industry.
How Big Are We Starting?
We are starting out with one bike and our office is located in Plot 1198, CRD Layout, FHA, Lugbe, Abuja. The bike will serve the city of Abuja and in a few weeks or months, we hope to add more bikes to meet up with increasing demand.
One thing we did was to ensure that we get any regulation issue right. We have Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) licenses and permit, the bike is registered with Vehicle Inspection Office, our company is incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), we have Goods in Transit Insurance and we are registered to pay our taxes to the government. Beyond being legitimate, you can also do business with us with no fear whatsoever.
Mode of Operation
We want this to be straightforward and easy for our customers. We have various means through which you can reach us (which I will share later). You call us for the delivery and we get your order (details of sender and that of the receiver). After which we send our dispatch rider to come and get the item which we trust you to properly label and explicitly addressed to the receiver. This will make the work seamless and easy for the rider to deliver in good time without any delays.
After we have collected the items, we will then forward you our corporate account to make payments. By this time, your order will be on the way to the receiver. In cases where the rider is occupied, we will inform you to know if you can wait and if you can we will come to pick it up later and if you can’t we might have to turn it down. This is to avoid any form of breach of trust between you and the company brand.
